Gordon & Lowman recently secured a $65,000 settlement in a trip and fall case against the City of Philadelphia. The client tripped and fell on a pothole in a Philadelphia street while making a delivery for GoPuff. The client sustained an ankle injury in the fall for which she received physical therapy and an MRI. Ultimately, the client's ankle MRI was negative but the client's treating orthopedic surgeon suggested the client undergo a Brostrom's procedure to strengthen the ligaments and tendons in her ankle. The client successfully underwent the procedure and made a good recovery. The City of Philadelphia initially denied the claim but ultimately settled after extensive litigation.
