We recently secured a confidential six figure settlement in a drive-by shooting case. Our client was transporting passengers when another vehicle drove up, opened fire, and attempted to ram the client's vehicle. Eight (8) bullets pierced the client's vehicle and one passenger was struck, but the client was able to escape and get the injured passenger to safety at a nearby hospital. The client's physical injuries were minimal but she suffered from acute anxiety, depression, and PTSD following the incident. The identity of the shooters is unknown and they remain at large. We successfully submitted a claim against the client's auto insurance for Uninsured Motorist (UM) benefits and they agreed to a confidential settlement to avoid a lawsuit.
